Even as influential as he was—he had his own TV show, magazine column, etc.—he still could not win over his conservative brethren to the cause of taxing land. Gee, I wonder why. Could it be because people love land yet hate taxes? Especially conservatives?Source: Book TV C-Span2 by Host Brian Lamb
